Fermentation system from Flexmatic
At Flexmatic, we have extensive experience in designing fermentation production facilities. This construction technology includes a brewery model as well as a certain number of fermentation tanks and storage tanks. We can help with everything from the setup and design of the system to maintenance, service and optimisation.
A system that optimises the chemical process
The fermentation process is a chemical process that is catalysed, or initiated, by microorganisms and their enzymes. Organic matter is decomposed into inorganic material or organic material again, or a mixture of these, which is the case in alcoholic fermentation. Here, the inorganic substance carbon dioxide and the organic substance ethanol are formed.
This is done by cooling the wort to the desired temperature and then pumping it into a so-called fermentation vessel. Yeast is added to the wort during stirring. The fermentation is completed after 2–3 days, and it is during this process that alcohol (primarily ethanol) is formed, after which the fermented wort is ready to be distilled. The process is made easier by having the right system, which also makes the beer taste better.
